Oman

Oman, officially the Sultanate of Oman, is a country located in Western Asia. It is situated on the southeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula, and spans the mouth of the Persian Gulf. It shares land borders with Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen, while sharing maritime borders with Iran and Pakistan.

Some of the attractions are castles, forts, and mosques dating back to six centuries. Muscat is Oman’s largest and oldest city, with all state institutions in it. Since ancient times, Oman has been called the monarchy of Muscat and Oman. The most famous castles of the city are fortress and glory.

Oman is a high income country that generates 84 percent of its revenue from dwindling oil resources. Hard hit by the global drop in oil prices, the country is trying to diversity its economy through tourism and gas-based industries.
